Privacy Policy
Last updated October 1, 2026
This policy covers aiwhy.io, the website for AIWhy, a division of Lextech (“AIWhy,” “we,” “us”). It explains what we collect when you visit, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Our community at community.aiwhy.io is a separate site run on Circle, and it has its own privacy policy. We don’t share information from this site with Circle.
The short version
- We collect what you send us through our contact form or by email, plus basic visit data.
- Google Analytics and Clay run only if you click Accept in our cookie banner.
- Clay tells us which company a visit came from, not who you are. It never runs if your browser sends Global Privacy Control.
- We don’t sell your personal information.
- Email aiwhy@lextech.com to see, fix, or delete what we have about you.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form. When you use “Talk to an Outcome Architect,” we get what you enter, such as your name, email, company, role, and message. The form is hosted by Typeform.
- Email. If you email us, we get your message and contact details.
Events calendar
Subscribing to our events calendar doesn’t ask for any personal details. Your calendar app downloads a file from apps.aiwhy.io, and our web host logs that request like any other. Public event RSVPs happen on community.aiwhy.io, under Circle’s policy.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our web host records standard request details: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page, and the time. We use these to keep the site running and secure.
- Google Analytics, only if you accept. See below.
- Clay, only if you accept and your browser doesn’t send Global Privacy Control. See below.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics shows us which pages are useful and how people find us. When it runs, it records the pages you view, how you got here, how long you stay, your device and browser, and your approximate location (worked out from your IP address). It uses cookies to tell one visit from the next.
Google processes this data under its own terms. Learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Clay company identification
We use Clay Labs, Inc. (“Clay”) to learn which companies visit our site. When Clay runs, its script sends Clay:
- your IP address
- the pages you view and how long you spend on them
- the page that referred you
- browser and device details
Clay and its data partners match the IP address to a company and return company-level details, such as company name, industry, size, and location. Clay says it does not identify individual people. Clay keeps a match for 30 days.
We use these matches to understand which organizations are interested in AIWhy and to plan our sales and marketing outreach to those organizations.
Clay only runs when both of these are true: you clicked Accept in our cookie banner, and your browser does not send a Global Privacy Control signal.
Cookies and browser storage
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
aiwhy_cookie_consent | AIWhy (browser storage) | Essential. Remembers your Accept or Reject choice. | Until you clear it |
_ga, _ga_NEZX2TS8CM | Google Analytics | Analytics. Only after you accept. | Up to 2 years |
claydar_*, radar_* | Clay (browser session storage) | Company identification. Only after you accept, and never with Global Privacy Control. | Until you close the tab |
If you click Reject, or change your choice later, we delete the Google Analytics cookies and Clay’s stored data on this site.
Embedded content. Some pages include content from other services: the contact form (Typeform), blog posts shown from community.aiwhy.io (Circle), and videos (YouTube and Vimeo, which load only when you press play). Those services may set their own cookies under their own policies. Some pages also load fonts or code from content delivery networks, such as Google Fonts, which receive your IP address when your browser requests the file.
How we use information
- To answer your questions and set up conversations you ask for.
- To follow up about AIWhy services you asked about. You can opt out at any time.
- To understand how the site is used and make it better.
- To understand which companies are interested in AIWhy.
- To keep the site secure and meet legal obligations.
Who we share it with
- Lextech. AIWhy is a division of Lextech, so your information stays within the same company.
- Service providers who run parts of the site for us: our web host (Hostinger), Typeform (contact form), Google (analytics), Clay (company identification), and the email and customer-relationship tools we use to reply to you. They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
- When required. To comply with the law, protect our rights or anyone’s safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share information from this site with Circle.
How long we keep it
- Contact form and email: while we’re in touch or working together, then up to 3 years.
- Google Analytics data: up to 14 months.
- Clay matches: Clay keeps a match for 30 days. Company details we save in our own tools are kept while they’re useful for our business relationship.
- Server logs: for the period our web host keeps them.
- Your cookie choice: in your browser, until you clear it.
Your choices
- Cookie banner. Choose Accept or Reject non-essential. Change your mind any time with , also in the footer of every page.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends a GPC signal, Clay doesn’t run, even if you accepted cookies. Some browsers send GPC by default, and extensions add it to others. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org.
- Email. We send marketing email only with the consent the law requires, including Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or email aiwhy@lextech.com with “Unsubscribe” in the subject. To opt out of Clay without GPC, click Reject or email us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we have and get a copy
- correct it
- delete it
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, or its use for targeted advertising
- withdraw consent you gave earlier
- appeal our decision on your request
To make a request, email aiwhy@lextech.com with “Privacy request” in the subject. We’ll confirm your identity by email and reply within the time the law requires, usually 30 to 45 days. You can use an authorized agent. To appeal a decision, reply to our response and ask for an appeal. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights.
You can also complain to a privacy regulator:
- Canada: the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. In Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information.
- EEA or UK: your local data protection authority.
