The biggest mistake you can make while rolling out AI tools is to expect people to figure it out on their own.
When companies deploy Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude to their teams and just say "here you go, use AI," it's basically the equivalent of handing someone Microsoft Excel and saying "get busy."
Okay... but what am I supposed to do with it?
I might have no idea how to apply this in my actual role. I don't know what you want me to accomplish with it. I don't know how it fits into our business goals.
We have to get to the why. We have to help people personalize it - show them how this tool helps them specifically in their work.
This isn't about spending weeks on training. It's about connecting the tool to the purpose. When people understand why something matters and how it helps them win, adoption takes care of itself.
