Don't Leave Gaps In Your AI Vision!

When you don’t communicate your AI vision clearly, something very predictable happens: your team fills in the blanks themselves. And it’s almost never the story you hoped they’d tell.

I’ve watched this play out inside multiple companies:

Leadership kicks off an AI initiative with good intentions - empower the team, eliminate grunt work, help people focus on what matters.

But the rollout is vague. Or worse, quiet.

The team hears: “AI is coming.” What they feel is: “They’re replacing us.”

That’s not paranoia. That’s the drumbeat they’re seeing in the news every day, in headlines and social posts. If you don’t step in with a clear “why,” that narrative becomes their truth.

You need honest communication instead of a polished 40-slide deck.

What are you actually trying to do?

Help people serve more customers?

Free them from tedious work?

Give them better tools so they can do the parts of the job that really matter?

When you share that openly, fear has less room to grow. Your people need to understand the why long before you ask them to change the how.

AI can give teams superpowers.

Your job is to make sure that’s the story they’re really hearing - ideally from you first, not from the rumor mill.
